Part 1: 50 years ago in Middletown, a streak began
Jerry Lucas was made for basketball. Tall and determined, it was if he were created for one purpose -- shooting a basketball through an iron hoop. Over and over.

Part 2: Coach Walker takes Middletown to new heights
On Dec. 16, 1955, the Middletown Middies had just defeated Portsmouth 75-62 on the road. After the game, the team went to a cafeteria-style restaurant in Portsmouth before heading home.

Part 3: Middies captivate city
In 1955, the Middletown Middies were coming off a decent season. Behind the shooting prowess of Bob Cole, Middletown won the district tournament before losing in overtime to Cincinnati Hughes in the first round of the regional.
