‘You don’t march against Republicans’

Well, I see the Tea Party is at it again and say they are marching against government spending. Now my memory may be failing, but I believe that President (Ronald) Reagan spent more money than all other presidents put together. I don’t remember any marches then. That was when this country started downward to where it is today ... with his spending and the tax cuts for the rich. ...

Then George H.W. Bush tried to follow with Reagan’s policies in spending. I don’t remember any marches.

Then along came President (Bill) Clinton who managed to leave office with a surplus. This showed that the Republicans could not govern so they impeached him for something that was nobody’s business but his. Without him, the country would have been in recession long ago.

Then came George W. (Bush), elected by the Supreme Court, who spent the surplus and put this country into a deep recession. ... I don’t remember any marches. ...

Now my memory is getting better. You don’t march against Republicans.

Now I hear people saying President (Barack) Obama has done nothing. There is no person on earth who could bring this country back to where it was before George W. Bush was elected — in just eight months. Already the Republican senators and congressmen say “no” to everything he tries to do, but do not come up with something better. Are they afraid he may be able to bring this country back to where it was — respected by other countries — before George W.?

I believe representatives are elected to serve the country to the best of their ability to do what is good for the country, instead of just fighting amongst themselves on politics. Some will not vote for what’s good for the country if he thinks it will cost him a vote. Representatives like this are not fit to serve. ...

Middsteve, Do you EVER has anything to say that is not some RANT about how everyone who doesn't buy your view of the world is somehow misinformed and just plain dumb or foolish. Why in the world don't why don't you put your NAME on your opinions with a letter to the editor, or citizen comment to city council in front of CAMERAS. Frankly your a coward who hides behind your anonymous pen and has little backbone to say make your same arguments
in a public forum.

Had this president not had a stimulus, this country would be devasted right now. This thrarted a long list of failures and depressions. These officials need to stop saying :No" to anything thier party didnt offer. The majority of americans, 87 % want this health care now. We need it, and for the sake of healthy families, we need it. Just remember, no public option, no re election. What is so wrong with competition for the ins companys?

A little history, the Deficit was 871 Billion in 1980 when Reagan took over office, it was 3.7 or 3.8 Trillion when he left office. After the 1st Bush, it was 4.8 Trillion, after Clinton, it was 5.6 Trillion, and after George W. the 2nd, it was closer to 11.5 Trillion. Look it up on the web if you have better numbers. Tax and Spend = Democrat vs. Borrow and spend = Republican. Either way, we are going broke very quickly.

Yes, your memory has failed you. Like Obama, Reagan inherited the Carter mess with its 21% prime rate and its 17% inflation. The Clinton "longest ever economy expansion" that you liberals like to brag about began 11 months before Clinton took office. Obama is the first modern day president to spend more than all preceding presidents, and he managed to do it in just 8 months.

Don't fret tho, most libs have a memory like yours. It comes from believing mainstream media reports.
liberal media is crazy
