The person I think should lead the Republican Party is Newt Gingrich. The reason is because nobody personifies the hypocritical Republican Party as well as Newt Gingrich. Nobody ever. Nobody more than the three-times married, serial adulterer, who had 84 charges of ethics violations when he was the House Speaker. Had a big crybaby, hissy fit when he was forced to sit in the back of Air Force One. Yeah, that’s the perfect guy for your party. A grown man whose mind is a 12-year-old just trapped in there. That’s the guy. ...

I think it’s time for the people of Mayfield to come together. I have lived here all my life. I’m tired of the gang members. I’m tired of my kids — in the vehicle with me, going down the road — seeing gang members standing at the corner, dealing drugs, all day and all night. Anybody can see it. I don’t know why the police can’t see it. I’ve seen them give drugs to elementary school kids. I’ve called the police about it. We need to get rid of the trash. It isn’t going to get any better. It’s only going to get worse. Let’s all come together, be proud of our neighborhood, and take it back.

... When you go out of town and buy a vehicle, you are only hurting the dealerships in your town. You need to take care of the dealerships in your town. Purchase your car from them. Then you don’t have to worry about what you are going to do about warranty work.

Regarding the job fair and the way people dressed: Why should you judge somebody by their cover? Everybody works differently. It doesn’t matter how they dress. ... Maybe they were bums and can’t afford clothes and that’s why they want a job. At least they’re not on welfare.

To the angry smoker: First, just because you are outside does not mean smoke goes straight up. I’ve had smoke in my face many times at ball games. I do move away from it — not because I have to, but because I don’t want second-hand cancer. Smokers should respect nonsmokers. But I don’t expect you to agree with that. After all, you are the one killing yourself.

Wake up, people of Middletown, and this includes City Council and the mayor. Have you noticed you cannot register a deed here in town? Most of our governmental services have left Middletown for Hamilton. Who has the highest Section 8 housing? Middletown. Where did AK Steel move to? John Boehner’s hometown, West Chester. Who got most of the financial money for highway and infrastructure improvement? Boehner’s West Chester and Courtney Combs’ Hamilton-Fairfield. Now that the “Triple-C” railroad is being planned, those planners want to follow the old route ... which stopped in Middletown. However, since hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars are at stake, Combs said Hamilton should be considered, instead of Middletown. You idiots voted Boehner and Combs into office. Now tell them it’s time to help out Middletown. Council, get off your dead back sides and get us our railroad. Any bets on where the train will stop?

I am a struggling, single mom of two, who has more than my share of heartaches and disappointments. I always try to stay positive and believe in God’s plan. Recently, on a very sad day, I received an envelope in the mail. Inside was a $100 bill and a brief note that was signed “from a friend.” As I try to figure out who this friend is, I am reminded of all the family and friends who have encouraged me, prayed for me, and who love me and my girls. I live in Mayfield Area too. I am hoping one day, one of those drug dealers who hang at the drive thru on Brentwood and Burbank will accidently walk in front of my car, so I can accidently hit them and then Middletown will be rid of one more drug dealer. It's sad when one street over 2 black males break in and shoot someone in their stomach, this area never used to be bad:(

If you can't understand why you should dress your absolute best when going on a job interview then you are clueless. Who wants to hire someone to represent their company that speaks and dresses like a bum. It may be ok for Smith Park but if you really want a job (which I doubt) use your brains.

About the people at the job fair. How do you know they are not on welfare. Have you been to a job fair? What did you wear? You have to look sharp at a job fair. HR people don't care if you don't have a suit or nice clothes.
