For Mayor (Robert) Routson in Monroe: My family has lived in Monroe since you were a child and paid taxes to support the schools that we all attended. Please change your stand on the SunCoke plant. My brother has been unemployed for months due to the economic downturn. He could sure use that job that SunCoke would give to him and his union brothers. Stop turning your back on your unemployed neighbors.

In response to the Sound Off caller who wants a law stating that we can only have two pets: I have known people who have had only one pet and didn’t take care of it. I’ve also known those who have had a half-dozen pets and gave them love and extra good care. Why don’t you just say that you don’t like animals and let it go at that? I have three pets and they get better care than some of the children in my neighborhood.
