To the caller who thinks SunCoke should be built on AK property: If that were to happen, it is only another mile away. I don’t understand the importance of that. To the caller who quit going to Monroe to shop: My wife and I quit going to one of our favorite restaurants almost a year ago and we live in Carlisle. We commuted there every Wednesday. We stopped going there because of this SunCoke business.

I like the way SunCoke keeps telling us how many millions of dollars they are going to spend on the new plant but they never say a word about the 2,356 tons of pollution they are going to put into the air every year.

As a big Middie fan, I would first like to congratulate the coaching staff and players at the Middletown Madison High School basketball program. With that said, I would like to ask that our staff at Middletown High School do their jobs and bring in some new thinkers for our basketball program. It is obvious that this basketball coach and his staff are old thinkers and they are old and outdated and they cannot win. With the team they had last year, they couldn’t win anything. They definitely won’t win in the future. We need a new thinker with new philosophies coaching our basketball at Middletown High School. I watched them this year and it was absolutely horrible. Please, Mr. (Gary) Lebo, do your job and get us a coach with a philosophy such as Madison has.

The reason we are in recession is because money has dried up in this country. The reason it has dried up is that it has gone overseas to pay for imports. Our balance of trade is negative. We need to get back into a manufacturing mode, provide jobs for our people and keep money here in the United States of America.

Attention, Warren County residents taken in by Middletown greed: Please vote to keep our addresses with the Franklin post office. Years ago, the Middletown post office did not want any new customers nor did they have space to park any more trucks. Now they are much worse. The building and the parking lot are pathetic. Why would anyone want this hassle? Middletown can’t take care of itself. Please mark your ballot to keep our addresses in Franklin.
