Irony or revenge?

I read the story about the Solid Rock Church and the owners, the Bishops, in the Middletown Journal. I keep thinking that someone ought to mention — sooner or later — that Larry Flynt’s porn shop, right down the street, is unscathed. Think about it. Is it irony or revenge?

A dog park is appropriate. That’s where this town has been heading for years.

Every day I read Sound Off and am tickled to see all these loyal Bushies all of a sudden finding deficit religion under (Barack) Obama. In Ronald Reagan’s time, the debt exploded to huge proportions. Then George Bush exploded the debt but to a lesser extent. It took Bill Clinton to get you out of that. Then George W. Bush exploded the deficit again, but who do you decide to blame? Not George Bush. We can’t blame Bush. That’s “Bush bashing.” We’ve got to blame the black guy who has not been in control of this spending the past 30 years. Yeah, let’s blame him. That’s disingenuous and hilarious at the same time — that you people, with the record of running up the deficit, all of a sudden magically care about the deficit. Tell me another one, Republicans. Tell me how the moon is made out of cheese.

After celebrating the Fourth of July, please take a minute to thank and appreciate all the veterans and armed forces members and their families who have made freedom possible for us. The Korean War, the World Wars, Vietnam and the wars that are going on now were and are all fought by valiant brave men and women. We need to remember and appreciate that. I would like to say “bless you and yours” and thank you very much for your service. ...
