Earlier this week, my husband and I had several errands to run and had been to numerous places around town. At 6 p.m. I realized my bracelet was gone and — after searching the house and the car — I started calling the places we had been. An older gentleman had found it in a food aisle at Meijer and turned it in to the service desk. He did not leave his name, but I would like to thank him for being so honest.

I wanted to thank the young man at CVS who loaned me 10 cents because I didn’t have enough change in my purse for my purchases. It made me feel so good — plus I got a surprise gift from an unidentified guardian angel. I really believe in that. I wanted the whole world to know that there is still a lot of goodness in the world.

Regarding the lady who called about the beautiful leaves: You know what really kills this town? Those garage sale signs. I thought they were supposed to take them down. If they are able to walk out there and nail them up, then they are able to walk out there and tear them down. Keep Middletown beautiful. Get those signs down.
