I would like to give thanks to a local organization, the Miami Valley Four Wheelers. For the third year now, they did a Toys for Tots drive on Nov. 14. ... They turned over approximately $1,100 and 700 toys to the National Guard to help out for the Toys for Tots drive this year. I think it is amazing and it is good to see a group doing good for our community and for people in need.
North Breiel Boulevard is probably better than half the streets in Middletown, yet it is getting resurfaced. Is there a reason? Where are the priorities?
I would like to tell Mr. (Leonard) Pitts that when the Muslims start standing up against these terrorist acts ... maybe we won’t look at them so foully.
Regarding the Nov. 12 Middletown Journal: Nov. 11 was the CMA (Country Music Association) awards and I figured if I missed part of them, I could get all the results in the paper. You put some in there, but not all; and then you say, “go to www.middletownjournal.com.” I don’t have access to online and I feel it is unfair. I pay for a paper. I pay to get the news and you put it online and those people can access whatever they want free. I pay for the paper; I should get the news. All of it. ...
To the caller about Christmas music: Please speak for yourself. You are a Scrooge and you need to stay in the house with your blinds closed. Christmas is more than music but the music is what brings on the spirit. If you do not like the music, you should not be out shopping at the holiday.
