Springboro rallies to beat Lebanon, finish 10-0

Springboro unloaded a second-half blitz on host Lebanon to come from behind and wrap up a perfect 10-0 high school football regular season on Friday night, winning 27-21.

Panthers quarterback Jack Schaaf scored on a one-yard run with 6:56 left in the fourth quarter, and later punched in the game-winning score from two yards out with 2:28 to go. Springboro’s Kyle Longworth had 18 carries for 204 yards and a touchdown, and Rahman Hardin added 177 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for the Panthers.

Springboro scored 21 second-half points. The Panthers had already secured a Division I, Region 4 playoff spot.

Valley View 24, Brookville 21: Hunter Williams caught a 13-yard scoring pass from Clay Smith with just 29 seconds remaining in the game as the Spartans stunned the Blue Devils to end the season with a clutch win.

Smith also fired a pair of TD passes to Tyson Skidmore, covering 48 and 13 yards. Kenny Duff of Valley View rumbled 70 yards for another score.

Luke Landis led Brookville with two touchdown runs, including a 96-yarder to open the scoring.

Franklin 42, Oakwood 14: Chris Hymer ran for 188 yards on 14 carries, including TD runs of 43 and 77 yards to lead the Wildcats. Hymer added a TD reception.

Luke Kennard added four touchdown passes and 139 yards passing for Franklin. Connor Stickelman caught seven passes for 108 yards and two more scores.

The Wildcats (9-1) will learn their first-round D-II, Region 8 playoff opponent on Sunday.

Eaton 49, Preble Shawnee 0: Adam Slemker led a devastating Eaton ground attack by rushing for three touchdowns, including a 57-yarder. Andrew Holderman added scoring runs of 28 and 2 yards. Michel McKelvin and Billy Ritter each rushed for another pair of scores for the Eagles.

Edgewood 21, Harrison 13: The Cougars clinched a D-II playoff berth with a road victory. Edgewood finished the regular season 8-2, 5-2. Harrison fell to 4-6, 4-3.

Waynesville 25, Madison 7: Troy Black had a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs and Justin Stanley added a 27-yard scoring dash to lead the visiting Spartans.

Tre Owens rushed for 143 yards and scored the Mohawks’ TD.

Bellbrook 45, Monroe 13: Receiver Sam Kline made the most of just three catches y accounting for 114 yards receiving and a pair of touchdowns for the Golden Eagles.

Colin Wilson snared a 72-yard scoring pass from Taylor Larison to spark Monroe.

Carlisle 31, Dixie 7: The visiting Indians spotted Dixie an early lead then took over . Ryan McLaughlin had scoring runs of 35 and five yards for Carlisle. Justin Hudson returned a fumble 30 yards to stake the Grayhounds to a 7-0 first-quarter lead.
