Bengals linebacker suspended four games

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dontay Moch has been suspended four games for using a banned substance, according to the NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.

Moch, the Bengals third-round pick in 2011 draft, can still appeal.

A foot injury and migraine headaches kept Moch off the field in 2011.

There are 12 linebackers currently on the roster and the Bengals usually keep seven. If Moch’s suspension is upheld, either Dan Skuta or Roddrick Muckelroy could back up Manny Lawson. There are also concerns Rey Maualuga could face a suspension for repeated violations of the personal conduct policy after a February incident at a Cincinnati club.
