Mike Leake will start Game 4 of the National League Division Series for the Reds against the Giants at 4:07 p.m. today.
Johnny Cueto was taken off the postseason roster to make room for Leake, meaning Cueto won’t be able to pitch in the NL Championship Series if the Reds advance. Cueto has a strained oblique muscle.
Leake was 8-9 with a 4.58 ERA in 30 starts. He pitched a complete game against the Giants on June 29, giving up nine hits and one run in a 5-1 victory.
Barry Zito starts for the Giants today.
