Sen. Portman serves Golden Lamb recipes during GOP luncheon in D.C.

WASHINGTON —

U.S. Senator Rob Portman, R-Ohio, on Thursday hosted a luncheon with Republican Senators featuring Ohio foods, including some from our area.

The menu, which came from Lebanon’s Golden Lamb Restaurant & Inn recipes, included fried chicken, egg salad, pickled watermelon rind, steamed green beans and baby carrots, whipped Yukon gold potatoes, and yeast rolls with Ohio grown apple butter.

Following the lunch, Portman was proud to provide a gift bag featuring Ohio products to all Republican Members which included:

• Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce (Cincinnati, OH)

• Central Ohio Burlap & Bag Burlap Bag (Columbus, OH)

• Smucker’s Jam (Orrville, OH)

• Great Lakes Brewing Company Beer (Cleveland, OH)

• Harry London Buckeye Candy (North Canton, OH)

• Dum-Dums (Bryan, OH)

“Every Thursday, we gather together to share a meal from a different state, and I enjoyed sharing some of Ohio’s great recipes and products with my colleagues,” stated Portman.
