Police reports: Walmart shoplifters face additional charges

Police were called to the 2300 block of Linden Avenue on a disturbance between a man and a woman. The woman said her soon-to-be-ex boyfriend got her a $350 money order and he was refusing to give it to her. Police stood by while the woman got the money order, her clothes and she left the area.

When a woman returned to her residence in the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue, she noticed three TVs on the ground with the cords wrapped around them. It appeared that someone was in the process of trying to take these items. She said someone probably was in the residence when she came home unexpectedly and they left.

March 13

Two Dayton women were charged with various crimes after they were stopped by police at Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. After trying to return the alleged stolen items, one of the women is seen on the surveillance camera pushing the items out of the store and into the parking lot. Brandi Rose, 30, of Linden Avenue, Dayton, was charged with driving under suspension, petty theft and criminal trespass since she was trespassed off Walmart property. Virginia Rose, 37, of Linden Avenue, Dayton, was charged with possession of drug instruments, petty theft, and wrongful entrustment. Their car was towed.

A car battery was stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the lot of PAC Worldwide, 3131 Cincinnati-Dayton Road. An employee said he found his door slightly ajar, his battery was gone and the cables were cut.

A woman who works at Kroger, 3420 Towne Blvd., said someone stole the battery out of her truck that was parked in the lot.

About 30 cans of Ensure were stolen off a porch of a residence in the 2300 block of South Sutphin Street. The man said he heard the UPS deliveryman, but he was in the shower. When he got dressed and walked outside, the package was gone.

A red electric three-wheel scooter was stolen off a front porch of a residence in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street. The woman said she had the key and battery inside her home.

A male student at Middletown High School, 601 N. Breiel Blvd., said someone stole his iPhone 4S, valued at $1,000, while he was in the cafeteria. When he called the number, the phone was turned off.

A man who lives in the 1500 block of Lamberton Street said he received a call from a collections company that said he owed AT&T $992.81. He said the account was set up by his sister, who lives in Sharonville.
