Police reports: Man wants to move in, but water meter stolen

March 4

Two Middletown men, Charles Lewis and Isaiah Conlee, were charged with drug offenses after they were pulled over by police near Yankee Road. Lewis, 23, of Fairmount, was charged with drug abuse/marijuana, driving under suspension and for a bench warrant. Conlee, 22, of Shartle Street, was charged with drug abuse/crack cocaine and a bench warrant through Middletown Municipal Court for $2,345.

A tiller and wheel barrel were reported stolen from behind a shed in the 3200 block of Bexley Drive. The items are valued at $350 to $400.

March 5

A bow and arrow set, valued at $600, was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Orchard Street. The woman said she allowed her ex-boyfriend to remove some items out of the house, and she believes he took the set.

A car battery, valued at $60, was stolen from a car that was parked in the 1100 block of Park Lane. Entry was gained through a door that can’t be locked.

A water meter was stolen from a residence in the 1800 block of Manchester Avenue. A man told police that when he was moving into the residence, he called the water department and was told the water meter from the basement was gone. The gate leading to the back yard had been kicked open, breaking part of the gate and locking clasp.

A man who lives in the 1100 block of Yankee Road said he ordered two video games, valued at $58.25, and he never received them. The delivery service said the items were placed on the porch.

When a man went to the store, someone broke into his home in the 200 block of Monroe Street and ripped panels and insulation out of the basement. No items were stolen, he told police.
