MIDDLETOWN —
A woman has submitted a police report claiming that several wrapped gifts for her children were stolen less than a week before Christmas.
Between noon and 1 p.m. Dec. 20, someone kicked in the interior kitchen door to an apartment in the 1700 block of Central Avenue, according to the police report.
The gifts stolen include an XBox Live starter kit, two GameBoy Advance systems with five games, 30 to 40 XBox games, about 20 Nintendo DS games, six Godzilla action figures, two books from the “Twilight” series, and a few craft and art books, according to the police report.
The woman said about two days earlier, a white man who appeared to be in his early 30s and with several tattoos, including a tear-drop tattoo under his left eye, asked her “if he could boost any items for her for Christmas.”
“He advised her to state her order and he would get it for her,” according to the report.
The woman said she told the man she had already bought all of her kids presents and she did not want his assistance.
