Police blotter: 2 arrested at homecoming dance

Sept. 28

A woman said her laundry was stolen from a laundry room in an apartment in the 4400 block of Bonita Drive.

Two cell phones, valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from PCS Mobile Solutions, 3493 Dixie Highway.

A woman said while she was in jail someone broke into her home in the 2900 block of Wilbraham Road and stole an air mattress, 70 DVDs and a DVD player.

A Middletown man, David Wilhoit, 28, of the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue, was charged with drug abuse after police found vicodin and suboxone on him. He also had a $1,080 warrant through the Middletown Municipal Court.

An air conditioner was stolen from a home in the 1700 block of South University Boulevard.

Sept. 29

Two 17-year-old Middletown High School students face drug charges after the school resource officer found them in possession of drugs at the Homecoming Dance. Four students were pulled out of the dance after a small baggie of cocaine derivatives were found near their vehicle in the school parking lot. While being questioned in the school office, one student got physical with the school resource officer and he had to be restrained against the wall. The student was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged with disorderly conduct, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse, marijuana, minor consuming alcohol and resisting arrest. Another student was charged with disorderly conduct, drug abuse paraphernalia and marijuana. His car was towed off school property.

A stripped-d0wn 1994 truck was found in the woods in Miami Park, 4401 N. Verity Parkway.

James Tannreuther, 46, of the 600 block of Cleveland Street, was charged with cruelty to companion animals after his wife said he threw their 10-week-old, 3-pound miniature pinscher against the wall and on the ground.

A Middletown man, Thomas Hamner, 35, of the 1200 block of Vail Avenue, was charged with trespassing after he was found on Atrium Medical Center property for the second time in five days. He was found in the hospital’s cafeteria.

A 32-inch Samsung TV was stolen from J&D Appliances, 1926 First Ave., after someone broke in through the side door.

Oct. 1

When a Middletown resident returned to her home in the 2000 block of Pearl Street after being away for the weekend, she found her Pitbull locked in his cage and two Playstation III, valued at $250 each, stolen.

Someone cut out a $90 battery from a car that was parked in the 2300 block of North Verity Parkway.

Two Middletown residents, Rachel Bilunka, 29, and Josh Bilunka, 27, were charged with abusing harmful intoxicants after they were found huffing them in the parking lot of Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. They told police they stole the compressed air from Walmart. Store officials said the items cost $14.88.
