Warren voters approve senior center levy

In Butler County, the levy is passing 9,250 to 6,613.

Early returns show voters are approving the five-year, 1-mill property tax levy that will support the Middletown Senior Citizens Center after more than 16,000 votes have been counted, according to the Butler and Warren county board of elections.

In Butler County, the levy is passing 9,250 to 6,613; and in Warren County, where all five precincts have been counted, the levy passed 526 to 457, or 54 percent to 46 percent.

Issue 4, a one-time request to help pay down the nonprofit’s multimillion dollar senior center, would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $30.63 a year, or $153.15 over the life of the levy.
