SPRINGBORO, Ohio —
Springboro High School students returned to class after malfunctioning sprinklers forced students to evacuate at the beginning of the school day Wednesday.
Officials said a science experiment that required an open flame set off the sprinklers. Shortly after, crews investigated whether the sprinklers malfunctioned and if there was any water damage.
The sprinklers reportedly went off in an isolated area on the second floor.
Students were back in session about 20 minutes after they were evacuated.
