Two men arrested after late-night shots fired

Two men were arrested Friday night after Middletown police received several calls of shots fired in the 2300 and 3500 blocks of Roosevelt Blvd.

Christian Robinson, 27, and Roderick Robinson, 29, both of Middletown, were charged with having weapons while under disability.

Several calls of shots fired in the area of 2300 Roosevelt Boulevard, and again in the 3500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard, were reported around 11:30 p.m. Officers were in the area when the last of the shots were fired and located the suspected vehicle involved at 3715 Roosevelt Boulevard.

Officers found spent shell casings around the vehicle and an AK-47 assault rifle in the car’s trunk. Both men were seen running from the vehicle and were arrested nearby after a brief search.

Christian Robinson was also charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine and tampering with evidence.

According to Middletown Municipal Court records, Christian Robinson has had seven prior drug or alcohol offenses since 2004. Roderick Robinson, 29, of Middletown has had 14 prior offenses, dating back to 2001.
