Tree splits car, driver flown to hospital

MADISON TWP. —

Details of a serious car crash Saturday night have not been made available Sunday afternoon.

The driver of a silver Cadillac CTS was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to an area hospital after he failed to negotiate a turn on Woodsdale Road and struck a tree around 8 p.m. Saturday, according to Butler County Sheriff Sgt. Richard Prescott.

The vehicle was slit in half when it struck the treet. The male driver, the only person in the car, was able to get out of the vehcile on his own, Prescott said.

The man’s name, or which hospital he was transported, was not available Sunday afternoon.
