Feb. 9
Someone forced open the back door and stole a Honda generator, Honda power washer, two 3 1/2-ton jacks, miscellaneous copper from the basement and a floor buffer from a residence in the 100 block of Garfield Street.
Feb. 10
While a man who lives in the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue was in jail, someone took a black safe that contained $420 in cash, checkbooks, two knives and three gold watches out of his residence.
Feb. 11
A curio cabinet, a deep freezer, Craftsman push mower, hunting gear and six boxes of 9 mm ammunition were stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Dorset Drive. The freezer contained half of a steer, two hogs and turkeys, valued at $2,000.
A teller at Fifth/Third Bank, 915 Elliott Drive, said she received two counterfeit $100 bills in the night deposit. One was from CVS on Breiel Boulevard and the other from Rent-to-Own on Towne Boulevard.
More than $3,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 3700 block of Village Drive. When she tried to turn on the TV, she noticed the cable box was missing, then she realized her jewelry was missing.
Four rims and tires, worth about $480, were stolen out of a storage unit at Cheap Storage, 2140 Spring Grove Lane.
A man who owns property in the 200 block of Shafor Street said he evicted residents, and when he checked on his property, he noticed the back window was smashed and a 20-foot ladder was missing.
Several people said they thought it was “free coffee Monday” so they went to United Dairy Farmers, 101 N. Verity Parkway, and took several cups of coffee and walked out. They were told coffee was free only if you had purchased a special mug from UDF. One woman was charged with petty theft.
Feb. 12
Several printing presses, office supplies and laptop computers were stolen from a business in the 1600 block of Central Avenue.
Someone broke into I Force, 3735 Dixie Highway, and stole two Dell 17-inch computer monitors, router, one Cannon printer and two older computer monitors. Police found an Army backpack, a white shirt and black neoprene face mask in the business. The K-9 officer was called, but no suspect was located.
