Feb. 6
A Middletown man said he lost his wallet that contained $650 for his Middletown Municipal Court fines and rent while on the city bus.
Feb. 14
A Middletown Middle School student was charged with possession of drugs after he was found to have Oxycontin. He told police the pills belonged to his mother who was incarcerated in the City Jail.
Feb. 16
A woman who was shopping at Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd., said one of her tires was slashed.
Feb. 19
A Middletown man, Daniel Dailey, 42, was charged with drug abuse/heroin, possession of drug abuse/instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found sleeping in his car that was parked in the United Dairy Farmers lot, 101 N. Verity Parkway.
Feb. 20
Two women are suspected of stealing a pull-out couch, valued at $406.80, from Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. They were accompanied by two children. They were seen on the store’s surveillance camera loading the couch into a Dodge van.
A Middletown allegedly pushed $71.96 worth of Budweiser beer out of the Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. There was no description of his vehicle.
A clerk at MidTowne Carryout said a young boy stole $1 worth of candy. She chased him, but she couldn’t catch him. Police went to his home on Linden Avenue and charged him with petty theft.
An air conditioner was damaged in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue.
A Gibson refrigerator, Gibson stove and Emerson tape player were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Elwood Street.
A boy was removed from his home after police found his mother to be intoxicated and urinating on the floor in the 1700 block of Germantown Road. Police couldn’t locate any family members to call for the 10-year-old boy, who called police.
Feb. 21
An Amanda Elementary School student was removed and placed with Butler County Children’s Services after school officials noticed extreme bruising on his buttock and ear. He told police that when he’s bad, he is spanked by his mother and her boyfriend. The report called the spankings “extremely severe.”
A carved limestone lion was reported stolen from a residence in the 4800 block of Manchester Road.
Shots were reported fired in the 2200 block of Highland Street and one window pane was found to have a gunshot hole.
About 35 Blu-Ray movies were reported stolen from a residence in the 1900 block of Carolina Street.
