Police reports: Drug arrests made outside lodge

Jan. 18

Two Middletown residents and one from Hamilton were charged with various drug abuse crimes after police found them outside the Elks Maple Leaf Lounge, 912 Eighth venue. Jeff Hasty, 24, of Middletown, was charged with drug abuse/instruments for a hypodermic needle and for permitting drug abuse for owning and/or having control over a vehicle used to transport or use drugs in. Derrick Lenos, 24, of Hamilton, was charged with drug abuse/instruments for two hypodermic needles and the spoon and with drug abuse/heroin. Audra Henry, 25, of Middletown, was charged with drug abuse/heroin because she had .14 grams of heroin hidden in her bra.

Jan. 20

While investigating a theft from a semi-tractor trailer in the Super 8 parking lot, 3553 Commerce Drive, police discovered that another vehicle had a broken passenger side window. The owner of the vehicle said a portable battery charger and a CB radio were stolen.

Three rolls of laminate wood flooring, each valued at $25, were stolen from the bed of a Dodge pick-up truck that was parked in the 4600 block of Timber Trail Drive.

A Pioneer CD player, Craftsman tool set and miscellaneous hand tools were stolen from a Chevy Blazer that was parked in the 300 block of Bavarian Street.

A woman said she had a friend staying with her and she suspected the woman of stealing her 90 Percocet in the 900 block of 18th Avenue.

Jan. 21

More than $2,000 worth of items were stolen from a detached garage in the 3000 block of Judy Drive. A 1997 Suzuki dirt bike, four toolsets, two socket sets, five fishing poles, one 5,500-watt generator and a sawzall were the items stolen. They gained entry by pushing the garage door in, causing the screws to come out of the latch that was padlocked.

A woman who was walking to Slone’s Market said two subjects, believed to be a man and a woman, approached her from behind, grabbed her purse and caused her to fall and injure her knees. Her purse contained several medications, she told police. Police assisted her in getting back to her residence.

An air conditioner condenser, valued at $450, was stolen from a residence in the 2300 block of Hill Avenue.

Police discovered that two vacant properties in the 1700 block of Manchester Avenue were damaged when someone tried to remove copper piping.

Three perfume bottles, two bottles of lotion, eight Xanax and five Vicodin were stolen from a woman’s purse in the 3100 block of Rufus Street.

Jan. 22

A large rock was used to damage the hood of a 2007 Honda pick-up truck that was parked in the 600 block of Ninth Avenue.

A woman who was visiting her mother in the 1700 Sunset Street told police that her MidFirst debit card and medications were stolen from her purse. The woman said $304 was withdrawn from her account. She told Xanax and Oxycodone were stolen.
