ROSS TWP. — A Ross Twp. man is being held in Butler County Jail on charges alleging he raped a 12-year-old child.

Pasquale S. Accorinti, 48, of the 2000 block of Cardinal Avenue in Ross Twp. was arrested June 13 by Ross Twp. police.

The alleged rape occurred June 7 in a trailer next to the suspect’s home, according to police reports. The victim is a 12-year-old female who was at Accorinti’s property to mow his lawn, police said.

The victim ran home and told her parents of the alleged rape. The girl told the man to stop but he would not, according to police.

Accorinti is being held on $305,000 bond. He was charged with two felony counts of rape, one felony count of kidnapping and two felony counts of gross sexual imposition, according to the jail records

Detective Dan Bower said Accorinti was charged with two different sections of the rape charge because the victim is under age 13.

Accorinti will appear Thursday in Hamilton Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing.
