Driver on a rampage in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Ohio —

A white male in his late 40s or early 50s was arrested Friday morning after a driving rampage that ended up at an apartment located at 560 Park Drive in Carlisle.

Carlisle police dispatch reported the suspect vehicle was driving westbound on Lower Carlisle Road and hit another vehicle head-on.

After driving away from the crash scene, police say the vehicle drove north on Beachler Drive, ran through a stop sign, drove through bushes and crashed into a house at 771 Beachler Drive.

The incident didn’t stop at that point. Police said the driver backed-up, and continued driving on Beachler Drive, eventually hiding the vehicle at an apartment located on Park Drive. He was arrested nearby at his residence.

The suspect has not been identified at this time, and no cause has been given for the driver’s actions.

The incident is currently under investigation.
