WASHINGTON TWP. —

An 18-year-old Centerville male who eluded arrest Monday afternoon after a pursuit that ended in a crash is being sought by the Warren County Drug Task Force.

The teen was in a car with two other suspects who sped away from a drug buy with undercover police officers involving a pound of marijuana, said task force Cmdr. John Burke.

The pursuit started on Ohio 741 in Miami Twp. just after 3:30 p.m., when police attempted to take down the suspects, Burke said. Two of the suspects were arrested following the crash that ended the approximately three-mile pursuit.

Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, police from Miami Twp. and troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol were involved. All of them responded to the crash at West Spring Valley Pike and Lago Mar Road.

The names of the two who were arrested were not immediately released by Burke. All three suspects were said to be local residents, he said.

“Quite a bit of money was involved,” Burke said. “We did not actually see them, but indications are that there was a gun involved.”

Burke advised citizens to avoid contact with the suspect who was still on the run. Citizens were advised to call their local police and/or dial 911 if they see the wanted man, Burke said.
