LEBANON —

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Lebanon bank this afternoon.

A man brandishing a semi-automatic handgun entered the Fifth Third Bank at 122 N. Broadway St. at approximately 2:17 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 black man who was wearing a dark blue jacket with a light blue stripe and two white stripes down each sleeve.

The suspect also had a mask covering the lower half of his face.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank, the suspect left the premises and headed north to an alley to the east of North Broadway.

Police believe he may have entered a white sedan that was driven by a woman, said Lebanon Police Chief Jeff Mitchell. A K-9 unit was brought to the scene of the crime and the police dog led police to an empty parking spot along the road near where the suspect was believed to have made his get away.

Police have searched an area around the bank, but so far have not had any success in finding the suspect.

“The investigation will continue as our detectives will follow up on any leads that come from talking to witnesses,” Mitchell said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Lebanon Police Department at 513-932-2010.
