Staff Report
MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
Two 23-year-old men have been identified as the victims of a crash that took both of their lives.
Joshua Fittz of Dayton died in the single-vehicle crash on the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 75 to Austin Boulevard around 4:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
George J.C. Cope II, of Miamisburg, died due to his injuries Friday night.
Their SUV reportedly overturned on the exit ramp. Troopers said they believe the SUV may have driven off the left side of the road before overcorrecting and driving off the right side of the ramp.
It is unclear which man was driving.
Both men were ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. Neither is believed to have been wearing his seat belt.
Troopers said there were no obvious signs at the scene that alcohol played a role in this crash.
The Austin Boulevard exit ramp was back open to traffic at 8:30 a.m Friday.
