Home invader possibly injured in early morning robbery

FRANKLIN TWP. —

A Franklin Twp. homeowner fired a shot at intruders who had broken into his home Saturday morning.

Two men dressed in dark clothing entered a family’s home on Franklin-Madison Road in Franklin Twp. at approximately 6:45 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

The men demanded money from the family, according to the sheriff’s office. A struggle ensued between an adult man living in the house and the robbers. The homeowner reportedly retrieved a pistol and fired one shot towards one of the subjects, while the man’s wife and daughter called 911.

It is possible that one of the invaders was struck by the bullet and may have non life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Both suspects fled the residence. One suspect is described as a white man, 30-35 years old, about 5’8” with brown hair and facial hair, waring a dark hooded sweatshirt with dark pants or jeans. The other suspect is described as a white man in his late twenties to mid-thirties with a thick mustache, about 5’6”, 160 pounds, wearing a gray knit cap and a “puffy” jacket. Either or both men may be armed.

No one who lived at the home was hurt.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at (513) 695-1280.
