Hearing for murder suspects set for Thursday.

By Eric Robinette

FAIRFIELD —

The fifth suspect in the murder of a Fairfield teenager appeared in court today.

Anthony Givens, 21, of Hamilton, was arraigned Tuesday morning in Fairfield Municipal Court on the charge of aggravated murder.

Julian Slaven, 19, was killed around 10:25 p.m. Saturday when at least four people entered the home he shared with his mother in the 5800 block of Judy Drive and demanded money.

Three of the suspects — Jerry Eacholes, 26, of Middletown; Misty Williams, 19, of Fairfield; and Christia Frymire, 19, of Fairfield — were arrested and arraigned last week in Fairfield Municipal Court on aggravated murder charges.

The fourth suspect — Joseph Goodin, 25, of Middletown — surrendered to police Nov. 27 and was arraigned Nov. 28 on the charge of aggravated murder.

Givens turned himself in to police Nov. 29.

All five suspects are scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. Thursday for a preliminary hearing to determine whether to bind the case over to the Butler County grand jury.

Police have not said exactly what the role of each defendant was, but have said the murder was a “drug deal gone wrong.”

Slaven’s murder was the fourth homicide in Fairfield this year, and the third with a teenage victim.
