Police reports: Woman arrested for stealing bubble gum

Jan. 4

Someone stole a camcorder in a red bag before 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Jackson Lane.

Jan. 12

A laptop, medicine, DVD player, and an XBox 360 game console with a remote and five games were stolen before 10:18 p.m. from an apartment in the 3900 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Jan. 16

Three Wii remote controllers and a Wii access controller were stolen before 7:48 p.m. from Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. The two suspects in the case were seen leaving in a maroon Chevy Blazer. Three of the controllers were pawned at Game Stop in the same lot as Walmart. Walmart officials said they had stolen the same items on Jan. 15 and pawned three controllers to Game Stop.

An $1,800 diamond ring was stolen before 9:30 p.m. from a home in the 500 block of South Breiel Boulevard.

Someone stole a case of beer before 11:43 from Speedway, 4320 Roosevelt Blvd. An employee asked the man walking with the beer if he was going to pay for it and he replied, “No.” The employee said the same man stole another case of beer the night before and the next night.

A 59-year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 11:06 p.m. at MiddTown Drive Thru, 2000 Central Ave., on suspicion of petty theft. Police say she stole four packs of gum, valued at $4, from the drive through.

Jan. 17

A 58-year-old Lebanon woman was arrested at 12:26 a.m. near the intersection of Ohio 122 and Union Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired, improper turn, failure to maintain a vehicle within marked lanes and a seat belt violation.

A 31-year-old Cincinnati man was arrested at 2:43 a.m. near the intersection of Jackson Lane and Roosevelt Boulevard on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired, driving under suspension, a seat belt violation and weaving.

Someone stole an iPod Touch before 9 a.m. in a gym locker at Middletown Middle School, 1415 Girard Ave.

Someone stole a 60-inch plasma television, an iPad and a Galaxy tablet before 2:57 p.m. from an apartment in the 2100 block of South Breiel Boulevard. The reported total value of the items stolen was $2,950.

A purse, $480, miscellaneous credit cards and an Atrium Medical Center ID card were stolen from a vehicle at Towne Athletic Club, 4343 Dixie Highway.

Someone stole a pair of women’s gym shoes at 8:46 p.m. at Kohl’s, 6825 Roosevelt Parkway. The male suspect left in a red four-door vehicle. Loss prevention officials apparently recognized the suspected thief.

Someone broke into a vehicle and stole an iPod Touch before 10:25 p.m. in the 3100 block of Seneca Street.

Jan. 18

Several Middletown Journal newspapers were stolen over the course of several days from the front porch of a home in the 1900 block of Clayton Avenue.

A CD player and 32-inch flat screen television were stolen before 9:30 a.m. from an apartment in the 2400 block of Easton Avenue.

A 28-year-old Miamisburg woman and 30-year-old Dayton man were arrested at 12:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Commerce Drive on suspicion of theft. Police say they stole a viola belonging to a West Carrollton girl who was staying with her mother at the Days Inn in Middletown. The woman was also charged with drug abuse.

A 38-year-old Middletown man was arrested at 1:59 p.m. at Meijer, 3651 Towne Blvd., on suspicion of petty theft. The man is suspected of stealing a $160 radio.

A carpet shampooer was stolen before 2:48 p.m. from a home in the 500 block of North Marshall. Police say FedEx delivered the package on Dec. 11, 2012, but it was not on the front porch when the homeowner returned home.

Jan. 21

An unknown amount of hand tools and dorm-style refrigerator were stolen before 7:06 a.m. in the 2700 block of Oxford State Road. A cinder block wall was damaged during the robbery.
