WAYNESVILLE —
A stand-off scene was given the all clear by authorities after area roads were closed near 9049 Lytle Ferry Road with the SWAT team in place. No one was hurt and the incident was called a false alarm
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department said a man was reported hold-up in a house with his grandmother Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Dispatch information stated that a SWAT team had been called to this address in the past.
Neighbors reported to have heard a gun shot, but that was not confirmed. A rescue squad had also been called to the scene.
The man in the house was heard yelling, “get back, get back now!”
Snipers were set in place and two SWAT team vehicles approached the home from various sides.
After approximately 2 and a half hours, the incident was resolved after communicating with the occupants of the home.
