2 men killed in Butler County crash

ST. CLAIR TWP., Butler Co. —

Two Hamilton men were killed in a crash early Friday in St. Clair Twp.

The men have been identified as Alden Little, 22, of Willow Street in Hamilton and James Brown II, 28, of Smalley Boulevard in Hamilton, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4 a.m. today, Little was reportedly driving a 2002 Ford Focus northbound in the 2800 block of Eaton Road, according to preliminary reports. Little apparently failed to negotiate a curve as it neared the intersection with Hogue Road.

The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a group of trees. The men were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.

“Initial investigation indicates that speed was definitely a factor in the crash,” reports the sheriff’s office.

A toxicology report and autopsy results are pending. The incident remains under investigation by the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.

The roadway was shut down between Beissinger and Hogue Roads while crews cleaned up the crash.
