SEVEN MILE — One person is dead following a Friday night structure fire, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Angela Tipton, 40, of 4150 Hamilton-Eaton Road in the Edgewood Mobile Home Park, was found deceased inside her residence after fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The fire appears to be caused by an alternate heat source, according to the release, but Seven Mile Fire Chief Larry Wilson said the fire remains under investigation.
Talwanda LeBlanc, the manager of the mobile home park, told Local 12 News that her son woke her up late Friday and when she went outside she saw 6 foot flames shooting from Tipton's trailer.
She said she's very concerned because this was the third fire in this community in the last month, according to Local 12.
"It scares me. There's people in here that have children. I have three of my own. I'm concerned not only for my safety, but for the safety of my children and the safety of the other tenants here," she said.
Seven Mile Fire Department also confirmed it's the third trailer park fire in a month on its Facebook page.
Seven Mile was one of four fire departments that battled a blaze Jan. 13 at Edgewood Mobile Home Park, the Journal reported at the time.
