A Warren County man apparently drown Saturday, July 4, in a small pond in Harlan Twp. during a holiday celebration.

Timothy Arnett, 48, of Maineville jumped into the water at the 7100 block of Starkey Clevenger Road in Harlan Twp. and came to the surface, and everything appeared to be fine. At some point, he went back under water, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Divers had to be called to recover his body, according to the sheriff’s office. The drowning appears to be accidental, but an autopsy will be performed.
