Charges may be filed against an Arkansas woman after two people died in a traffic crash in Warren County.
Amber L. Rogers, 40, of Bald Knob, AK was traveling south on Ohio 123 in Turtlecreek Twp. at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, when her Ford truck crossed the center line, and crashed into a motorcycle, driven by Aaron M. Adams, 26, of Waynesville.
Adams and his passenger, Amy K. Dorn, 22, of Lebanon were killed instantly, according to Ohio State Patrol Trooper Josh Patrick.
“They weren’t wearing helmets,” he said. “But it wouldn’t have made a difference.”
Patrick said Rogers was a little “banged up” but was released from Arrow Springs Medical Center the same night. Alcohol was not involved, according to Patrick. Rogers has been working in the area and living at the Olive Branch campground in Oregonia.
Patrick said he will be speaking to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday to see if charges — other than traffic citations — will be filed. He said he thinks charges may ensue from the crash, because there weren’t any skid marks.
Patrick said, “There were no skid marks like braking prior to the curve. It wasn’t like she was speeding and realized there was a curve and slammed on her brakes.”
