BUTLER COUNTY— A steady downpour of rain, brisk wind and flying fall leaves are causing a slippery commute this morning, Oct. 23, in Butler County, but clear skies are in the forecast.
The heavy rain should end by noon, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service in Wilmington. But more showers and thunder storms are in the forecast for this afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to top out in the mid 60s today and the high Saturday, Oct. 24, is forecasted to be in the mid 50s with a 40 percent chance of showers, said meteorologist Mike Gallagher.
The sun is predicted to return Sunday, Oct. 25, with a high temperature of 60 degrees.
Despite the wet roads this morning, area dispatchers reported only minor fender bender accidents.
