MIDDLETOWN — Precipitation hitting the area today, March 22, is expected to taper off Tuesday before returning late in the week.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service’s Wilmington Office said showers remain likely throughout Monday evening until around 8 a.m. Tuesday. Cloudy skies will gradually give way to sunny weather, with temperatures climbing into the upper 50s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Temperatures Thursday are expected to hit highs near 60, with a chance of showers late Thursday night. Friday could see rain showers continuing from Thursday, as forecasters predict a chance of precipitation of 30 percent throughout the day.
