MADISON TWP. — The owners of the Mohawk Pizza Shop are planning to serve up a bit of community spirit with their pies.

The Madison Twp. restaurant, set to open later this month, will be a family friendly spot to enjoy an inexpensive meal.

“We look forward to getting open,” said Heather Hicks, who will own the eatery with five members of her family.

The pizza shop, located inside the McGee Golf Center near the community park, will offer dine in, carry out and weekend delivery in the township.

With few dining options in Madison, the community response has been very positive, said Neil Hicks.

“We felt it’d be a good idea for high school students and people who have kids,” he said.

Neil and Heather Hicks said they plan to line the walls of the restaurant with pictures of local athletes and maybe even have a weekly special featuring a favorite pizza of a Madison player.

Along with “a good pizza at a reasonable price,” they’ll offer sandwiches, soft drinks, ice cream and candy.

They’ll operate the spot with their family members, Mike and Karen Conrad, Velma Pennix and Vanessa Thomas.

The shop will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The pizzeria can be reached at (513) 424-Mohawk, or (513) 424-6642.

way to go Guys! This is an awesome family of whom the community will soon find to be even more of an asset. It'll be the place everyone wants to hang out. Good luck!
