New senior housing community to open in Trenton

TRENTON — The Franklin Foundation in partnership with the Freedom House Church of God announced its 24-unit Freedom Village senior housing community will open in mid-May.

Funded by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Freedom Village is able to offer quality, affordable housing for individuals 62 years and older in Trenton, according to a news release.

The single-story building contains 23 one-bedroom units and is located at 5290 Hamilton-Trenton Road.

These housing units are both age and income restricted. Incomes must not exceed $24,200 for one person or $27,700 for two persons.
