Monroe seeks volunteers to help plan fire facility

Hot Topics

Staff Report 11:16 AM Thursday, November 5, 2009

The City of Monroe is seeking locals to serve on a committee to design the new fire facility. Members of the committee will begin meeting in mid-November and will help choose the architect, site and design.

Interested residents should call (513) 539-7374 ext. 1012 or e-mail cityhall@monroeohio.org.

I would be glad to serve as a consultant for the fire department. I have many good ideas that they could use. Of course my best idea is to cut out the fat: Neighborhoods like CM, MC and Applewood. All they do is whine a put a drag on city services....BACK TO THE VILLAGE OF MONROE.

SillyMe and Britton, virtually no one attends our Monroe City Council meetings or quarterly Town Hall meetings and I'm guessing both of you fall into this category. Attend council neetings and make your views known rather than criticize. The city of Monroe is trying to include it's citizens in planning rather than alienate the public as Middletown City Council has done. Let's hope you at least put the Cheetos aside and voted this week.

Yep, I can see where letting the public have a say in what is built is a bad thing. They should probably just let the Fire Department build whatever they want to with no regard for what the public thinks. I for one plan on applying to be on that committee.

Sounds like the city residents does not trust city council so council is going to let the residents help decide so when it comes out bad then council has someone else to blame.
Kelly and his cronies have already messed so much up and wasted our money, they might as well finish the bad job they are doing.
But, remember they also will be voted out when their time comes.
