HAMILTON — A Middletown man had a heart attack and died before crashing his pickup truck along Oxford State Road, the Butler County Coroner’s Office ruled today, Nov. 14.

Rickie E. Morris, 55, of 3119 Mohawk St., was involved in a single-vehicle crash just before 11:40 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of Oxford State Road in Middletown. According to Middletown police, Morris’ Ford pickup truck ran off the roadway, went through several yards and struck a parked car before coming to rest in the tree line. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy performed this morning indicates that Morris suffered a fatal heart attack before the crash, according to the coroner’s office.
