A 23-year-old woman claims the father of her unborn child raped her a second time after returning from active duty in Iraq.

The woman said Ryean Christopher Jones, 24, entered her apartment she thought she had locked and raped her at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, July 5. The woman’s young child apparently was in the room when the attack occurred, according to a Middletown police report.

Jones’ address is unknown.

Jones allegedly raped the woman in January, leading to her pregnancy of about 24 weeks, according to her statement to police.

The woman said she called her mother when Jones left the apartment and the two called police. She was transported to Atrium Medical Center where a rape kit analysis was performed.

Jones was arraigned in Middletown Municipal Court on Monday, July 6 where Judge Mark W. Wall ordered an HIV test and set bond at $50,000 cash, surety or property. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. July 13, in Middletown Municipal Court.
