FAIRFIELD — Jungle Jim’s might appear in the season finale of “Shipping Wars,” airing tonight on the A&E cable network.

A&E crews filmed at the market around October or November when station executives got word that a large shipment was coming to the Fairfield store, said Jimmy Bonaminio, the director of creative services.

While store employees expect Jungle Jim’s to appear in the show tonight, it’s not 100 percent certain, he added. Having signed a non-disclosure agreement, the store is not allowed to say what exactly was being shipped.

“They filmed out here a couple of months ago. We’re expecting to be on, but we’re not sure,” Bonaminio said.

A&E crews filmed the arrival of the shipment at the store, and employees are hoping they’ll see the results of it. Jungle Jim’s Twitter feed said the store would be on.

“As far as we know, we will. We’ve seen clips of the footage. We’ll hold our breath and hope it happens,” Jimmy Bonaminio said.

This would not be the first time Jungle Jim’s has shown up on cable — it was the focus of an episode of “Modern Marvels” in 2010.

“Shipping Wars” airs at 9 p.m. The show follows independent shippers who have discovered that fortunes can be made transporting items that traditional carriers will not.
