City Manager Jim Lukas said," In a few years, they hope to build up to fireworks". Has he never been to Hollywood in the past 5 yrs??? We have beteer fireworks than WEBN!!! Anyone east of the lion bridge is by appointment only!!

It is my understanding that the lions are important to those in Franklin. I don't have a problem with combining a small bit of Franklin history with the country's. My interpretation of what Ms. Westendorf said in the story was that it is simply a twist in conjunction with the typical patriotic theme. It may be neat to see what people come up with.

I agree it is about our freedom and country not a lion. I do miss the lion but to be a main focal point on a 4th of July parade is crap!
