FRANKLIN — A bus driver and two kindergarten-aged school children were transported to a local hospital this morning, Dec. 1, following an accident on Sixth Street.

Franklin police said a semi-truck, owned by Vork Trucking and driven by Dennis Burns, struck a 1996 Ford mini-man driven by Amanda Combs, of Franklin, in the rear. The impact forced the van into the rear of a Franklin City School bus driven by Tina Sparkman of Germantown. The accident occurred east of the intersection of Riley Boulevard and Sixth Street.

The driver of the bus and two children were transported to Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Burns was cited for assured clear distance.
