SALISBURY, Md. — Former Clearcreek Twp. fire chief Bernie Becker is one of three finalists for the fire chief’s position in Salisbury, Md.

The Daily Times reported on its DelMarVaNow.com Web site today, Dec. 1, that the Salisbury City Council has interviewed the three finalists to replace former fire chief David See, who retired in June after 30 years in the fire service and five years as chief.

City officials said they were uncertain when a decision would be made.

Becker, who resides in Springboro, has 30 years experience and served as Clearcreek Twp.’s fire chief from 1997 to 2008.

He has also recently applied for the position of director of the Warren County Emergency Services Department.
