MONROE — Anytime Fitness has been designated a collection center for the Toys for Tots campaign.

The fitness center, 3165 Heritage Green Drive, is seeking new and unwrapped toys through Dec. 10 for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

The mission of the program is to provide holiday gifts to needy children in communities that host Marine units.

It is the second year the club is serving as a collection site.

“I know they need toys badly, so I’m glad to be a drop-off for them,” said Chad Dresnick, Anytime Fitness president.

As an added incentive to donate toys for needy children, the club is offering donors $1 dues for the first month of a new membership. The normal fee is $35, Dresnick said.

“We get a lot of people who want to join, so this is an easy way for them to join,” he said.

The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, but staff members are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The Toys for Tots donation box is near the members entrance.
