MONROE — Firefighters were called Sunday afternoon for an unusual rescue — helping a dog get out of an empty in-ground swimming pool.
Residents in the 6100-block of Hamilton-Middletown Road called for assistance at about 5:14 p.m. after their dog Buddy got into a neighbor’s empty pool and could not get out, said Aaron Vance, a firefighter/paramedic
He said firefighters used a piece of plywood as a ramp as Buddy’s owner helped him get out of the pool. The dog was not injured, according to reports.
