Diversity the PC word that helped to kill the schools and is doing the same for the city. Let's focus on the big issues folks, the city is falling apart and the schools have already go to hell with the lack of Discipline due to focusing on diversity. Do we need to draw City Hall pictures.

Diversity? Use common sense, don't mow grass while the house is on fire. Fix the big problems first (education, employment, streets, etc.

Diversity? Just another buzz word to sound important while being stupid. Whites, blacks, Hispanics all need the same things like education, employment, adequate housing, food, medical resources, transportation, etc. Fix the main problems first!!

I say we move diversity forward by FIRING THE CITY MANAGER and getting someone that has a clue.

On second though, maybe Middletown has a better chance of moving forward without city leadership.

The leaders of our city wouldn't know what a good idea was if it hit them upside the head.

Black population 10%. Why do we spend so much time playing dump down economics. Its not about Blacks or Whites. I don't care if your green.

The leadship of Middletown should diversity by stepping down and letting some real leaders take over before they diversity the city into non-existence.

Lead follow or get out of the way. Forget about any race it does nothing other than divide.

We need the streets fixed, we need Section 8 cut to a minimum, we need more jobs, and she's talking about "diversity"? Who made that a high priority? And quotas for minorities- nonsense- I want the best people hired for my tax dollars, not just to meet some numbers that represent a minority population of the city. If we have 500 employees for the city and we have 39 minorities, hire 11 more to make 50 and get your 10% if it means moving on to more important things. Mercy!

Why is it that those who celebrate diversity abhor divisiveness? Doesn't the first beget the latter?

Nice to know Judy's all warm and fuzzy over diversity. Now, when are they going to fix the
potholes?

Gilleland states, "“If a local business has the best price, we’ll go with them,” she said."

Yeah, right like you picked the best price for management of the Section 8 Voucher program.

I guess this rule only applies to the local small business if you can't beat the big boys tough.
